VALUATION SERVICES
  1. We will review the details of identified imported products, including the current classification adopted by the Company;
  2. We will rely upon the product information provided by the Company and which is available in the public domain;
  3. We will also review the classification of identical and similar products imported in the recent past;
  4. Conduct a detailed study of the specific product by its form, fitment, functionality, technical, chemical composition and properties based on our initial review of the information provided by the Company and which is available in the public domain;
  5. On review of the requisite data, we will propose an 8-digit tariff classification for each of the identified product;
 
OBJECTIVES
  1. Ensure that the valuation of the goods being imported/exported are done in accordance with the provisions of the law and Review the valuation also on the basis of value on similar products, the information provided by the Company and the information which is available on public domains.
  2. Ensure that the benefits that are available on certain classified goods, under the Customs and Foreign Trade Policy are being/ have been availed on the appropriate value of the goods.
SVB SUPPORT

1. Due Diligence

  1. Collection of import pricing related data and information
  2. Review of import pricing mechanism and related documentation

2. Preparation of Annexures

  1. Preparation of prescribed questionnaires (Annexures A and B)
  2. Collation of relevant supporting documents

3. Submission of Annexures 

  1. Submission of Annexures and relevant supporting documents at SVB cell
  2. Replying to queries raised by SVB authorities and submission of additional documents, as requested by SVB cell

4.  Representation before SVB Authorities

  1. Representation before authorities to provide clarification on valuation documentation / information w.r.t import transactions.

5. Follow up with the Authorities to obtain an investigation report

  1. Follow up with the SVB authorities on “best effort” basis to obtain Investigation Report (IR)
OBJECTIVES
  1. Ensure that the valuation of the goods being imported/exported have not been influenced by the relationship of the importer and exporter.
  2. Support on compliance, preparation of responses, representation and liaison with the SVB of the customs authority.
